Next exam day
Enrollment is open on cissp.app. Enrolled accounts get full access for the day.
Mock Exam Day runs once a month. Join the CISSP Study Group free on Skool to hear the date the moment it is set, or check back here.
What the mock exam is
A CISSP mock exam is only useful if it feels like the real thing, and the real thing is a computer adaptive test: 100 to 150 questions, a 3 hour window, and no going back to change an answer. Most free practice tests online are 20 question quizzes with instant feedback. That checks whether you know a fact. It does not check whether you can hold your judgment together for three hours, which is what the exam actually tests.
Mock Exam Day uses the full length, CAT style mock on cissp.app, the practice platform built by the person who runs this study group. The questions are written to the management level the exam wants, not the technician level most question banks stop at. On the day, enrolled accounts get the full mock free, whether or not they have ever paid for anything.
Block the three hours. Phone off, one screen, no notes. The point is to find out what happens to your reasoning at question 90, not to get a score.
How the day runs
- Enroll ahead of time on cissp.app with your email and a display name. Your name goes on the enrollment wall so you can see who else is sitting it.
- Kickoff at 3:00pm ET in the Exam Day Lounge on Google Meet. A volunteer lead runs a short briefing, the same one you would get from a proctor, then everyone starts together.
- Sit the exam. Full length, CAT style, on your own machine. The Lounge stays open if you want the feeling of a room around you.
- Debrief afterward. The group reconvenes for the questions that split the room, argued the way the daily sessions argue them: what the security manager should have done, not what the technician would configure.
- Results by domain show you where to point the next month of study.
Why sit it together
You can take a practice exam alone any day. People rarely do, because three uninterrupted hours is easy to postpone. A date on the calendar with a hundred other people on it is harder to skip, and the debrief afterward is where a mock exam turns into study. Hearing why someone else picked the wrong answer, and why it looked right to them, is the fastest way to catch the same drift in your own reasoning.
| Practice test alone | Mock Exam Day |
|---|---|
| Easy to put off for another week | A fixed date with the whole group sitting it |
| A score and an answer key | A score, then a live debrief on the questions that split the room |
| Short quizzes, instant feedback | Full length, CAT style, three hours, no going back |
| Usually paid | Free for the day, open to everyone |
